Construction of a £17.3M new entrance to Leeds railway station to give access for over 20,000 passengers a day from the city’s rapidly expanding waterfront area.
The building is constructed over the River Aire on two piers created using unique precast concrete units placed under water.
58 bespoke reinforced concrete panels designed to interlock underwater to provide participating permanent formwork in the river for the two piers supporting the new structure.
