Trial erection of this 540 tonnes structure which will provide increased clearances over a twin track railway has just been completed at ABM’s Tuxford production facility prior to delivery to site. The complex , heavily skewed structure combines pre-stressed, reinforced and masonry composite concrete elements and incorporates embedded ducts to allow rapid reconnection of utility services. Production has recently started in a further extension to ABM’s precast concrete manufacturing facility at Tuxford, North Nottinghamshire. The additional 1,200m² facility is equipped with 30 tonne lifting capacity and adds to ABM’s established reinforced precast concrete production capacity.

Trial erection of a rail underbridge at ABM’s Nottinghamshire plant. The 173 tonnes of precast concrete will shortly be transported to site for final assembly before a ‘Drive In’ installation using a Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SMPT) during a weekend rail closure by contractor AMCO Rail.
